Benjamin ROWLAND

My name is Ben Rowland and I originally come from London. I completed my undergraduate degree in Physics at the University of Oxford in 2008 before moving on to a D.Phil.

My research so far has been in developing novel methods for optimal control in quantum computing, using nuclear magnetic resonance techniques. This involves plenty of high performance computing, including working with graphics processors to simulate the evolution of quantum systems.

I am very excited to be joining the SUMMER project from November 2012 as an Experienced Researcher, and getting to work on lots of new problems in this area.
