He received his B.S. degree from Bogazici University, Istanbul on Physics and continued with masters on Biomedical Engineering in the same university. During his masters, he visited Martinos Center, Massachusets General Hospital, Boston for six months and focused on functional MRI retinotopy for his master thesis while working at radiology department of Yeditepe University Hospital, Istanbul as a MRI researcher.

Following two years of industrial software engineering at General Electric Company, he continued with Electronics Engineering Phd in Sabanci University, Istanbul focusing on the development of image analysis methods for radioteraphy planning and treatment response assessment of the brain tumors. He was a research assistant in Sabanci University and giving lectures on Medical Physics and Biomedical Electronics in Yeditepe University.

He is currently employed in SUMMER project as an Experienced Researcher in Santa Lucia Foundation, Rome.
